Create a shortcut for a file in Windows 95
1) Right-click the Windows 95 desktop. (A pop-up menu appears.)
2) Select 'New' and select 'Shortcut'. (The 'Create Shortcut' dialog box appears.)
3) Do one of the following:
a) Type the application path in the 'Command line' box.
b) Browse to the program file:
1] Click 'Browse...'. (The 'Browse' dialog box appears.)
2] In the 'Look in' drop-down list, select the drive which contains the program file.
3] Select the appropriate folder and click 'Open'.
4] Select the program executable file. (The name of the file appears in the 'File name' box. The path of the program automatically appears in the command line.)
5] Click 'Open'. (The application path appears in the 'Command line' box.)
4) Click 'Next'.
5) (Optional) Type a name for the shortcut in the 'Select a name for the shortcut' box.
6) Click 'Finish'. (The shortcut appears on the Windows 95 desktop.)
NOTE: If the application has icons which are associated with the program, the shortcut will use the default icon.
